Still alive and some updates.

It was some time since my last post. GSoC ended and then I had to take care of my real life for a while. But now I’m trying to get back and help Amarok developers by solving some easy bugs and polishing a little bit the context view.

Today I come with some nice stuff I’ve done recently. The first one is a nice user feedback by highlighting the context pages under the mouse in zoom out mode. Easy to implement and nice to have.

The other nice stuff is the current track showing the last tracks played when in stopped state.

It’s a little update but helps me to get back to work.

Interesting. It looks like your plasmoids are arranged differently over the 4 context views. How did you do that?

I request it should be possible to drag and drop plasmoids to be able to rearrange the context views when you have zoomed out and see all 4 views. That would be awesome. And it should also be possible to change the size of the plasmoids, e.g. I want wikipedia to fill a whole view.

You can add applets to different areas by changing to that area and then adding the applet.

Resizing and rearranging applets is definitely going to happen, although it’s not clear when.

hi ! Thanks for the update. I’m using beta3 and I don’t have the last played applet. And I really miss it, mostly when listening to online radios. Is this a post beta3 feature, will it be in final version ?

@gaboo: The “Last Played” applet is actually the Current Track applet. It shows this content when Amarok is not playing.

if there is one thing keeping me with kde, it’s THIS! thank you very much for all the hard work!

@Mark: Ah I see. But I don’t have it anyway. My previous question is a feature request I guess (but something that is in 1.4). Should I add it to BKO ?
